Materials

 

This translation is written with PSP 2020, if you work with other versions some things might be different but the result will be the same.

 

Note: In the latest versions of PSP the command
Image-Mirror has become Image - Mirror - Mirror Horizontal
and Image-Flip has become Image - Mirror - Mirror Vertical

 

Preparations

Duplicate all the tubes and work with the copies to preserve the originals.

Place the Selection into your Selections folder of PSP

If you don't have the plugins install them into your Plugins folder for PSP

 

Colors used:

Material Properties - Foreground: Set your Foreground color to color 1 #8c1010

Materials Properties - Background: Set your Background color to color 2 #ffffff

When working with your own colors, pick a dark color from your tube as your foreground color

 

 

The Tutorial

Step 1

File - New - Open a new Transparent image 800 x 600 pixels

Flood fill tool / Fill in the layer with color 1 #8c1010

 

Step 2

Layers - New Raster Layer

Selections - Select All

Open tube - femmes_0051_lisat

Edit - Copy

Edit - Paste - Paste into Selection on your working image

Selections - Select None

 

Step 3

Effects - Image Effects - Seamless Tiling (default settings)

 

Step 4

Adjust - Blur - Radial Blur

 

Step 5

Effects - Edge Effects - Enhance More

 

Step 6

Effects - Plugins - Toadies - What Are You?

 

Step 7

Layers - New Raster Layer

Flood fill tool / Fill in the layer with color 2 #ffffff

Open mask - mask_LBP11

Layers - New Mask Layer - From Image (Invert mask data not checked)

Layers - Merge - Merge Group

 

Step 8

Adjust - Sharpness- Sharpen

 

Step 9

Layers - New Raster Layer

Selections - Load/Save Selection - Load Selection From Disk

Look for and load the selection - Loiva_sophie1

Edit - Copy

Edit - Paste - Paste into Selection on your working image

 

Step 10

Effects - Plugins - Alien Skin - Eye Candy 5 - Impact - Glass (default settings)

In the Settings click on Clear

Keep selection selected!!!

 

Step 11

Selections - Modify - Expand (15.00)

 

Step 12

Activate the mask layer - Group - Raster 3

Selections - Promote Selection to Layer

Keep selection selected!!!

 

Step 13

Effects - 3D Effects - Drop Shadow (0/0/50/25) color black #000000 - Shadow on new layer not checked

 

Step 14

Selections - Select None

In your Layer Properties - set the Blend mode to Luminance

 

Step 15

Activate the mask layer - Group - Raster 3

Effects - Plugins - Simple - Top Bottom Wrap

 

Step 16

Effects - 3D Effects - Drop Shadow (3/3/40/5) color black #000000 - Shadow on new layer not checked

 

Step 17

In your Layer Properties - set the Blend mode to Luminance

 

Step 18

Activate the top layer - Raster 3

Open tube -femmes_0051_lisat

Edit - Copy

Edit - Paste - Paste As New Layer on your working image

Image - Resize if needed

Position the tube to the right as shown on the final result

Add a drop shadow to your own liking

Activate the Text Tool , choose a font, and write your name or text to your own liking

Add your name or watermark

Layers - Merge - Merge All (Flatten)

File - Export - Save as JPG file
